ACE-Jet Systemic Insecticide, manufactured by Arborjet, is a effective micro-injectable and micro-infusible insecticide with control over a broad-spectrum of pests for agricultural and commercial trees and landscape ornamentals like shrubs and palms.

This easy to use formulation works against pests such as royal palm bugs and caterpillars by metabolizing into phosphorous and sulfur, which stimulates a beneficial health plant response as well as addressing a broad range of insects. Leaf-feeding pests will feed on foliage infused with ACE-jet Systemic Insecticide resulting in complete control, including those that bore deep into foliage.

ACE-jet Systemic Insecticide features as a micro-injectable and micro-infusible insecticide allows long-lasting control against pests or short-term control for present pests feeding on foliage.

Tools Needed

ACE-jet Systemic Insecticide may only be used with the Arborjet Tree Injection System.

How to Use

  • Step 1: The specified dosages and number of application sites are based on tree diameter. Measure the tree diameter at chest height (54” from ground) in inches to find the Diameter at Breast Height (DBH). If measuring circumference, divide this number by three to determine Diameter at Breast Height (DBH). Trees with DBH between 5-7" will require 3 injection sites, 9 mls injection sites, and 27 mls applied per tree. Trees with DBH between 71-73" will require 36 injection sites, 9 mls injection sites, and 324 mls applied per tree. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
  • Step 2: Mix each 15 gram ACE-jet Systemic Insecticide packet per 100 milliliters of water. To do this, fill a separate container with half the amount of water, add measured amount of ACE-jet Systemic Insecticide, and pour remaining half of water. Stir or shake the container well until the solution is well-dissolved then pour into Arborjet Tree Injection System.
  • Step 3: For optimum distribution, inject the ACE-jet Systemic Insecticide mixture into the sapwood tissues at the base of the tree. Work around the tree, injecting no closer than 6.0 inches apart. With basic arbjorjet viper procedure, use drill through the bark then 5/8” to 1-5/8” (in hardwoods) or 1-5/8” to 2” (in conifers) into the sapwood using the appropriate sized drill bit. Brad point bits are recommended, and all drill bits should be clean and sharp. Insert the Arborplug with the set tool and mallet tapping in to the point where the bark and sapwood meet. In resinous conifers, such as pine and spruce, start the injection and/ or infusion process immediately after drilling or following the setting of the Arborplug into the sapwood. A prolonged delay may reduce uptake efficacy due to resin flow. For ornamental monocots, make applications low in the stem, typically within 12” of the soil. Avoid wounding the meristematic tissue located within the crown of the plant. In palm*, drill into the central vascular bundle approximately one-third into the stem, insert an ArborplugTM 5/8” deep to form a seal and use the VIPER needle to complete the application. Only one site is needed. Repeat applications as necessary.
