3-D Herbicide
3-D Herbicide
3-D Broadleaf Herbicide is manufactured by Quali-Pro and is a selective post-emergent herbicide that contains dicamba, 2,4-D and Mecoprop-P and can be used to a wide range of weeds such as clover, dandelions, henbit and many other broadleaf weeds in non-residential lawns. 3D Herbicide is very safe on a large number of established turf varieties including fescue, carpet, centipede, Kentucky bluegrass and ryegrass. A key feature of 3D Herbicide is its low odor making it easy to use and safer for use in public environments.
Tools Needed
To use 3-D Herbicide, you will need a hand-held sprayer or backpack sprayer for general residential applications. For large applications, use a pesticide spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Calculate the square footage (measure and multiply area length x width) of the treatment area to determine how much 3-D Herbicide you will need. For general use on ornamental and recreational turfs, 3-D Herbicide should be mixed in a gallon of water at the rate of 0.75 to 1.5 fl. oz. per 1,000 square feet depending on whether you have warm-season or cool-season grass. For example, if you have a 2,000 sq. ft. yard to treat, you will need to mix 1.5 to 3 fl. oz. in 2 gallons of water.
- Step 2: Fill a hand-pump sprayer halfway with water then add the required amount of 3-D herbicide to the tank. Replace the cap and agitate by shaking the sprayer. Add the remaining water required and surfactant if needed, then repeat agitation until well mixed and then you'll be ready to spray.
- Step 3: Spray the target weed, making sure to get even coverage and not overlap spray bands to ensure grass health. Wait a week then monitor the treated areas and reapply if necessary.
Where to Use
3-D is for selective broadleaf weed control in turf grasses on residences, golf courses, sod farms, highways, right-of-ways and other non-crop areas.
When to Use
3-D Herbicide should be applied for broadleaf weed control when weeds are young and actively growing. Do not apply when temperatures are above 90 degrees. Do not apply more than 128 oz. of 3-D per acre per year.
Safety Information
3-D Herbicide is safe to use when applied according to label directions. Before applying this product, please make sure to put on the proper PPE for safety (long-sleeved clothing, gloves, face mask, goggles). Pets and children should not be present during treatment and should remain out of the treated areas until they have completely dried.
Special Considerations
To enhance coverage and movement of the active ingredients into the plant, it is recommended that 3D Herbicide be mixed with a surfactant.
