2-D Herbicide is manufactured by Quali-Pro and is an effective post-emergent herbicide that delivers broadleaf weed control on a number of different application sites.

The active ingredients are a mixture of Triclopyr and Clopyralid which helps the product to control a wide range of weeds while also having a long lasting effect that will control a treated area between 8 to 12 weeks. If you are someone that deals with a lot of weeds and don't want to have to spray chemicals so often, 2-D Herbicide is a great pick.

Tools Needed

To apply 2-D Broadleaf Herbicide you will need to dilute the product with water in either a hand-pump, backpack sprayer, hose end sprayer or spray rig for large volume applications.

How to Use

2-D Broadleaf

  • Step 1: Determine how much 2-D you will need by calculating the treatment area. Do this by measuring the site's length and width, and then multiplying them together to get square feet. To get acreage, take your square feet and divide by 43,560. 2-D can be applied at varying rates from 0.37 to 0.74 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft.
  • Step 2: Fill your sprayer halfway with water, and the add the measured amount of 2-D. Add water the rest of the way, filling the sprayer to capacity for agitation.
  • Step 3: Spray the mix on the foliage of broadleaf weeds found on ornamental turfgrass, spraying the point of wet not runoff.

Where to Use

2-D Broadleaf Herbicide can be applied to established turf-grass areas such as sod farms, rangelands, permanent grass pastures, fence rows, non-irrigation ditch banks, roadsides, around farm building structures. It can be safely applied to bentgrass, fescue, bahiagrass, bermudagrass, buffalograss, and more.

2-D Broadleaf Herbicide cannot be used on residential lawns and cannot be used on bermudagrass sod farms.

When to Use

2-D Broadleaf Herbicide should be applied when turf-grasses are healthy and well established and when there is enough foliage on the weeds to absorb the solution. To prevent chances of injuring grasses, repeat applications should be made no less than 1 month apart.

Safety Information

2-D Broadleaf Herbicide is not approved for residential lawns. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying 2-D Broadleaf Herbicide.

Special Considerations
