Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide, manufactured by quali-pro, is a selective post-emergent herbicide that is safe to use on various types of turf grasses to kill a variety of hard-to-control broad-leaf and grassy weeds like crabgrass, even in its mature stages. Once applied, this superior systemic herbicide controls grasses and weeds from one month to 90 days.

It is a dry flowable powder that readily mixes with water to formulate a solution that is applied through sprayers to treat lawns and turfs. The solution is soaked into the foliage and transferred throughout the weed. Within a few days the weeds will begin a process called chlorosis where the weed curls up and change colors from green to white, then turn a red color and die.

Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide is an efficient weed killer that offers a great application and seeding flexibility, making it ideal for seeding and overseeding before or after application on labeled weeds.

Tools Needed

To apply Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide, a pump sprayer, a backpack sprayer or a professional skid sprayer is needed.

How to Use

Backpack sprayer application of Quinclorac 75 DF

  • Step 1: Do not now mow 2 days before or after applying Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide. Determine how much Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide you will need to mix by first calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the areas length and width in feet and then multiply the two values (length x width = square footage). For spot applications, use 0.367 oz. of Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide in a gallon of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft. It is not recommended to apply more than 2 pounds of Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide per acre per year, which equals 0.73 ounces per 1,000 square feet per year.
  • Step 2: When using a pump sprayer or backpack sprayer, add half of the amount of water needed to the spray tank. Add the correct amount of Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide based on your calculations to the half-filled spray tank and then close the spray tank and mix the product with the water until well blended. Add the remaining amount of water needed and mix again. During applications, periodically mix the Quinclorac 75 SF solution to make sure it does not settle.
  • Step 4: Spray the top and bottom of weeds until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Wait until 2 or 7 days have passed after applying Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide before irrigating treated turfgrass with 1/2 inches of water.

Where to Use

Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide can be used on listed broadleaf and grass weeds in established turfgrasses growing on grounds or lawns around residential and commercial establishments, multi-family dwellings, military and other institutions, parks, airports, roadsides, schools, picnic grounds, athletic fields, houses of worship, cemeteries, golf courses (except collars or greens), and sod farms (except Arizona).

Do not apply this product to Bahiagrass, carpetgrass, St. Augustinegrass, Centipedegrass, dichondra, or lawns or turf where desirable clovers are present.

When to Use

Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide can be applied when targeted weeds on labeled approved areas have already started to grow as the product has to come in contact with the weeds to kill it.

When more than 4 weeks have passed you can apply this product after seeding emergence of Kentucky bluegrass, creeping bentgrass, fine fescue blends, and perennial ryegrass.

Do not apply this product to fine fescue unless it is part of a seed blend.

Safety Information

Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Wait until 24 hours have passed after application before allowing children and pets to enter treated areas.

Special Considerations

It is recommended to use a surfactant when applying Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide. The best surfactant we recommend to mix Quinclorac 75 DF with is Alligare 90 Wetting Agent.

Disappointed with the product!
Applied the product in accordance with instructions 2.5 weeks ago. I was hoping to see that the crabgrass was dead (yellow w/ leaves curled up). Actually the crabgrass looks weakened with yellowish green leaves, but it certainly isn't dead.Based on the above, I would not recommend it to anyone else. I don't think your product is any better than the chemicals available at Home Depot or Lowes.

Does the job easily
Got the job done in one application. Very effective and easy. Only downside is having to get a large amount. Have a 200 sq ft yard and needed basically a tablespoon but had to buy a big bottle.

  5. Q:Can this be added to T-Nex in a sprayer, or should it be sprayed separately?
    8/4/19
A:I do t think there is an issue mixing them together. It would have to be a blanket spray and not used for spot spraying or the lawn would have irregular growth. You can always mix a small amount and make sure they mix well and do not readily separate.

  6. Q:What product to use on centipede and Bermuda grass to eliminate crabgrass ?
    7/25/19
A:I used as a blanket spray to eliminate St Augustine, resulting in a great kill, in a lawn of Bermuda grass. I did have a few patches of Bermuda that got burnt, but that was my fault with my application. The lawn looks amazing!! I did add T-nex to the mixture.
