Novacide Flea & Tick Killer, manufactured by Solutions Pest and Lawn, is a ready-to-use aerosol insecticide that readily sprays and kills roaches, moths, and other insects. This effective roach, flea, and other pests killer is also a synthetic pyrethroid that includes pyriproxyfen, an insect growth regulator (IGR). IGRs prevents adult fleas and other adult insects from laying eggs and stops young insects from growing into adults.

It is 100% guaranteed to kill fleas, ticks and other targeted pests when used as part of a comprehensive control plan. Novacide Flea & Tick Killer leaves a residual, providing continued control for up to 7 months against fleas in carpet and pests in other labeled indoor areas.

Novacide Flea & Tick Killer comes in an easy-to-use aerosol can that allows the spray to come out in a fan shape. This helps to cover a lot of surface area in a short amount of time. If you have fleas, ticks, spiders, roaches, ants and other pests inside your home or other indoor areas, Novacide Flea & Tick Killer is a safe and great product to have readily available for both remedial and preventative control.

Tools Needed

Novacide Flea & Tick Killer comes pre-mixed in an aerosol can and requires no additional tools to use. You will need to be sure to have the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, a safety mask, protective eyewear, and long-sleeved clothing.

How to Use

Novacide application on carpet

  • Step 1: Determine how much Novacide Flea & Tick Killer you need by measuring the square footage of the area you wish to treat. An 18 ounce can of Novacide will cover 2,300 square feet. An area of 100 square feet can be treated by spraying across the area for 10 seconds.
  • Step 2: Before you apply Novacide Flea & Tick Killer, clean and vacuum your intended treatment areas. This will capture any pests wandering around, like adult fleas in carpet or larval pantry pests on shelves. But most importantly, it will stimulate any flea pupae (flea cocoons) as flea pupal stages are attracted to heat and vibrations. Vacuuming will cause them to emerge early and be susceptible to the Novacide. Don't forget to clean your vacuum after use.
  • Step 3: To apply Novacide Flea & Tick Killer, shake the can well before use, hold it at arms length, and then spray the product to carpets, floors, furniture, pet bedding, and other surfaces where labeled pests can be found. The product will be applied parallel to the cans orientation, so to apply downwards, hold the can upside down, pointing the top where you want to apply. Use a sweeping motion, and back away while holding the can at a downward position about 36 inches from the area being treated. To treat pantry shelves, create a barrier along where the shelves meet the wall by applying 1-2 inch spots of product 1-2 inches apart.
  • Step 4: Continue to vacuum, keep areas sanitized and spray Novacide Flea & Tick Killer for every 10 to 21 days (depending upon the life cycle of the insect infestation) to ensure eggs and larvae do not continue to hatch and grow. Do not allow people or pets into the treatment area until the product dried completely.

Novacide Flea and Tick Killer is flammable, do not use or store near heat sources or open flame.

When dry, Novacide Flea & Tick Killer will leave a residual that will continue to treat the area for up to seven months. Labeled pests that make contact with the spray or its residual will die within several hours, while immature pests will be affected by the products IGR, which will stunt their growth and prevent them from becoming into reproductive results.

Novacide Flea & Tick Killer is an insecticide aerosol that will treat a variety of pests as well as bust their lifecycles thanks to the built-in IGR. Most active infestations cannot be controlled through the use of one product. Depending on what pests your treating, you may need to use Novacide Flea & Tick Killer with other residual insecticides and IGRs that can be applied outdoors and bait or dust in order to get complete control.

Did and didn't work
Was really hoping this would be the thing to get rid of the fleas but sadly it fell short and after almost 3 months they are still here. There aren't nearly as many but enough to wear I'm still being bitten. I've sprayed 3 times now both times moving all the furniture and cleared the carpets to maximize the treated area. Still my son and I find bites on our angels and legs.

Novacide was used by a pest control company when we had an infestation of German Roaches. I buy this product to insure we don't get infested again. I use it to keep our travel trailer bug free.

Good
The coverage per can is a lot more than I expected so I bought two. The smell isn’t the best ever but it’s manageable. I was nervous at first to shop off the site cause I’ve never heard of the brand before but shipping was quick and hopefully I will be able to take care of these fleas!

  1. Q:Is there any alternatives to the Novacide? Because I live in California and I can’t get them.

  4. Q:dies this product transfer from one roach to another like Temprid?
    12/5/22
A:Not sure which temprid product you are referring to, but Novacide Flea & Tick Killer is an aerosol insecticide with a built-in insect growth regulator (IGR) that breaks the life cycle of cockroaches and leaves a residual for up to 7 months to continue to kill these pests that make contact with treated surfaces long after application. We recommend using this alongside with a bait like Apex Cockroach Gel Bait, which will transfer from one cockroach to another whether by ingestion of the bait, or the waste/deceased body of those that have eaten this bait.
