Mole Scram Professional
Mole Scram Professional
Mole Scram Professional, manufactured by Epic Repellents, is an easy to use granular repellent made with all natural ingredients for controlling moles trespassing on property.
This granule formulation has a unique dual-action formula where it repels moles by both taste and smell. After application, the granules will safely leach into the soil, coating worms and insects (a mole's main food source) found in the soil, giving them a bad taste. It also leaves mole tunnels and the surrounding soil with a strong odor that is offensive to moles, but hardly noticeable to humans. This sudden change to the mole's environment will cause them to leave.
Mole Scram Professional is all-natural, containing a blend of castor oil and other essential oils. It is non-toxic and environmentally safe, and will not wash away from rainfall. It is easy to use and can be used to effectively rid moles of an area and prevent them from returning.
Tools Needed
To use Mole Scram you will need to either wear gloves and spread them by hand, or sprinkling by using the scoop provided, or use a broadcast spreader to spread the granules in Mole activity areas.
How to Use
- Step 1: Inspect and observe the areas where Moles have been active and calculate the square footage of the area you wish to treat. To do this, measure and multiply the length and width of the selected area (length x width = square footage). Be sure to measure an area that extends 30 feet beyond the infested area.
- Step 2: Load and apply Mole Scram Pro granules using a push or rotary spreader to the target areas where you have noted Mole activity and damage at a rate of 1 pound per 750 square feet. Cover the area where Mole damage has been observed and extend the cover to at least 30 feet around and beyond the damaged area. For lawn and garden areas of 5,000 or less square feet, we recommend covering the entire area. You will also need to activate the granules by watering them for at least 20 minutes. This initial application will drive moles out of the area.
- Step 3: A second application of Mole Scram Professional will be necessary 14 days later over the same area, including the 30 foot extended area. Water in again like last time. This second application will ensure that the moles do not return for up to 45 days.
- Step 4: Repeat applications every 30 - 45 days to ensure no further mole activity.
Where to Use
Mole Scram Professional can be used to protect lawns, golf courses, and ground covers where moles create extensive runway and tunnel systems. You can also spread Mole Scram Professional in areas like wooded landscapes, plants and bulb gardens. Mole Scram Pro can be applied to areas with mole activity, plus an additional 30 foot radius for most effective results.
When to Use
Use Mole Scram Professional when you notice mole activity via seeing a mole or noticing their damage and tunnel burrowing. Moles are most active during wet seasons when worm activity near the ground surface is greatest. Use preventative applications in early fall and early spring, and in mid-winter in southern regions.
Safety Information
Mole Scram Professional is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.
Special Considerations
Keep in mind that after application mole activity will seem to increase for a day or two -- this is normal. Moles will become immediately affected by the Mole Scram Professional and will try to rapidly dig their way out of the treatment area.

Needless to say, nothing seems to deter this critter. Along with the Mole Scram I've tried killing the food source using Dylox 6.2 & GrubEx...didn't help. I tried using 18 low frequency solar deterrents...didn't help. I tried poisonous worms and mole bait...didn't help.
I've finally come to accept the fact that the mole(s) own me, and there's nothing I can do that will make them go away.
