Demon Max Insecticide
Demon Max Insecticide
Demon Max, manufactured by Syngenta, is a multi-use Cypermethrin-based emulsifiable concentrate used to control termites and other wood-destroying insects, crawling insects, and flying insects found outside or inside various types of building structures.
This product can be used for pre and post-construction termite treatments and spot, crack and crevice, perimeter, and broadcast treatments.
Demon Max has a residual effect that lasts for up to 90 days making it great for barrier applications to prevent insects from finding their way indoors. It also delivers a quick knockdown to kill insects that are already invading indoor areas.
Tools Needed
To apply Demon Max Insecticide as a general insecticide, a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or skid sprayer is needed. It is suggested to use the handheld pump sprayer for indoor crack and crevice applications and a hose-end sprayer for broadcast applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: Before mixing Demon Max, you will first need to determine the application method you will use, the target pest you will be treating for and the treatment area size. Calculate the square footage of your treatment area by measuring and multiplying length x width then based on your findings to determine how much product you will need. For most pest control applications, the rate is 0.5 to 1 fl. oz. in a gallon of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft.
- Step 2: To mix using a hand pump sprayer, fill your sprayer halfway with water. Add the proper amount of Demon Max to the spray tank, and then fill your sprayer the rest of the way with water. Screw the sprayer's lid on tight, and shake your sprayer to mix well.
- Step 3: Apply Demon Max outdoors around your yard and ornamentals where you have seen pest activity. For broadcast and spot spraying, spray on a fan spray setting with low pressure for uniform coverage. Spot spray outdoors around the structure, focusing on points of entry such as around windows, doors, and under eaves. Indoors you can use Demon Max as a spot treatment or crack and crevice treatment under sinks, cabinets, appliances, along baseboards, and similar areas.
Where to Use
Demon Max Insecticide can be used indoors and outdoors of residential and commercial areas. It can be applied in wall voids, window sills, and baseboards as a cracks and crevice treatment. It can be used as a perimeter spray around doorways, windows, and foundations or as a broadcast spray on lawns and flowerbeds. It is also ideal to use as a trenching method to treat subterranean termites. Demon Max is not approved for use in food areas, where food is prepared, served or stored.
When to Use
Demon Max should be used when you have a pest infestation either indoors or outdoors in your yard. For outdoor applications, apply Demon Max during calm days when rain is not in the immediate forecast.
Safety Information
Demon Max Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when it is applied according to the product label. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying Demon Max.
Special Considerations
Demon Max is an emulsifiable concentrate, and as such, it is important to know that this type of formulation does not perform well on porous surfaces like brick or raw wood as it will absorb into the material and not stay on the surface. Also, when using Demon Max for subterranean termite control, the product is to be used by individuals/firms licensed or registered by the state to apply termiticide products.
