Deer Scram Professional Deer Repellent comes from a line of effective repellents by Epic and is a repellent granule that triggers a strong fear-based response from deer by emitting an odor they associate with death.

Deer Scram Deer Repellent is non-toxic and environmentally friendly. The Deer Scram granules are not harmful to deer, but provide enough power to humanely ward deer off from an area before they can deal damage to shrubs, plants and gardens. Deer Scam Professional is effective for up to 90 days and does not have an odor during application.

Great product
We hired a landscaping company to put in some "deer resistant" bushes and plants. He told me about this product and said that their company uses it often with customers' landscaping. I've had a terrible time with the deer eating my roses and other plants. Since the first application I've still noticed deer hooves in the mulch and surrounding areas, but my flowers are still blooming. It's been such a pleasant surprise. I'm going to order another bucket because I've used all of what I ordered. Although I feel it's a bit pricey, it's cheaper than constantly replacing plants. I'm hoping over time they will roam around other places because they'll know that our yard smells offensive.

Deer Scram works
Tried this product for the first time. We were getting about six deer a night feeding off of our roses and azaleas. Put a band of Deer Scram across the front of the flower / mulch bed. Have not seen a deer for three weeks since applying. Plan on re applying in another week. Love it so far.

Deer Scram will work only if you keep putting it around the area you want to protect every 2 weeks. Unfortunately at some point the deer started ignoring the smell and still ate all of my greenery.

Fewer deer, but they still come to nibble on my plants!
I’ve only used 50 pounds around my yard and beds over the last two weeks. I had no deer after first 25 lbs application for 10 days. Then I applied 25 lbs more, and had evidence of deer eating and lying in flower beds about 5 days later. I plan to apply another 25 - 50 lbs over remainder of summer. The product did slow down deer invasion, but I think I need more to cover my lot of 0.66 acres with multiple beds and areas that I want protected.Question: How many pounds of deer scram do I need to cover a 100 foot length along the front yard, several feet wide? It seems I might need the whole 25 lbs for this area. Please advise.

I am not sure how effective this product is. It works fine, but so far I haven't actually seen that it dissuades dogs or other animals from coming into our flower beds.

  5. Q:Is Deer Scram safe for children and pets?
    9/2/20
A:I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and 2 kids. The kids do not like the smell so they dont go near the area for the first day or so. The animals love to rub themselves on the ground where it was placed. It has been 2 years now and all my animals are healthy.

  6. Q:how do i apply professional deer scram? I live in the mountains, but have a lawn and flower beds.
    8/4/20
A:I would just follow the directions on the container. Deer Scram works for me for 2-3 applications, but then I apply something else. They get used to it. But I can use it again later or next season. Blood-based sprays work in the interim. I always come back to Deer Scram, though.

  8. Q:Is deer scram safe to apply on edible gardens like peas and okra?
    5/7/20
A:I do not know. I use Deer Scram around the perimeter of my property to stop the deer from getting to close to my plants. I don't believe that Deer Scram is intended to be put on individual plants.

  9. Q:What is the difference between the Professional and standard grade of Deer Scram?
    4/15/20
A:Deer Scram professional is banned for sale in several states. The standard grade is considered organic and can be sold everywhere except AL. I've used professional only and have great results. we live in a deer invested area.

  10. Q:How large a area will it cover?
    3/1/20
A:I don't have an exact answer. Obviously it depends on how heavy or light you spread the Deer Scram. For me this depends on what is growing in the flower bed or garden. I go heavier around the garden raised beds and any bed with hostas - both prime deer targets. I actually spread the Deer Scram around each hosta in addition to the perimeter of the entire bed. I use two to three containers each year, but I have lots of beds and lots of hostas. So I'd suggest getting a container spread it and see how much you use. I do repeat application every 4 to 6 weeks - don't forget to do this. I order online and get delivery within 2 weeks, so if you need more you can get it fairly quickly.
