Cyper TC Insecticide
Cyper TC Insecticide
Cyper TC is manufactured by Control Solutions Inc. and is an insecticide concentrate made with the active ingredient cypermethrin. Cyper TC delivers exceptional control of various flying, biting, wood-destroying and crawling insects, such as subterranean termites, cockroaches, and fire ants. It is ideal to apply Cyper TC Insecticide before building construction begins to prevent wood-destroying pests from damaging structures.
Cyper TC Insecticide begins killing targeted pests when contact is made with the chemical and the residual effects last for up to 90 days. When combating various tough to control insects, Cyper TC Insecticide is a great product to apply as a barrier treatment around homes and building structures.
Tools Needed
To apply Cyper TC Insecticide a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer or professional skid sprayer is needed. When applying Cyper TC as a subterranean termiticide trenching treatment, a dirt removing tool such as a shovel and a wheelbarrow is needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Cyper TC you will need by calculating the square footage of the area being treated for your target pest. To do this, you will need to measure and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). Cyper TC can be applied at various mix rates depending on the targeted pest and application method. For general use outdoors or as a barrier treatment, use between a 0.1% to 0.25% dilution, which is 0.51 fl. oz. to 1.3 fl. oz. per gallon of water to treat about 1,000 sq. ft.. So for example, if you measured a treatment area of 3,000 sq. ft. and wanted to use a 0.1% concentration, you would need to mix 1.53 fl. oz. of Cyper TC is at least 3 gallons of water.
- Step 2: In a handheld pump sprayer, begin with filling the spray tank 1/4 of the way with water. Add the correct amount of Cyper TC in the tank. Shake the spray tank well to mix and periodically shake to spray tank when applying.
- Step 3: Apply as an outdoor spot treatment or perimeter spray depending on the target pest you wish to treat. Use on a pinstream, coarse, low-pressure spray setting.
Where to Use
Cyper TC can be applied in and around residential, commercial and industrial buildings and areas, such as exterior siding, foundations, porches, window frames, eaves, patios, garages, refuse dumps, lawns or grass areas around private homes, duplexes, townhouses, condominiums, house trailers, apartment complexes, carports, fence lines, storage sheds, barns, soil, trunks of woody ornamentals, and other areas pests have been seen. Indoors, it can be applied as a broadcast spray in attics, unfinished basements and crawl spaces only.
When to Use
Cyper TC Insecticide can be applied to areas before building construction begins to prevent insects such as termites from invading structures in the future. It can be applied after insect activity is identified, however, it works more efficiently as a preventative treatment before insect activity is found. Make applications of Cyper TC on calm days when wind speeds are low to minimize drift and when rain is not in the immediate forecast.
Safety Information
Cyper TC is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying Cyper TC. Allow 2 to 3 hours for treated areas to dry before allowing pets and humans to enter.
Special Considerations
Cyper TC Insecticide is sold to and is to be applied by licensed professionals when using as a termiticide.
