Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait is manufactured by Wilco and is a great option for addressing ground squirrel invasions on a property, putting a stop to their damage. Wilco Ground Squirrel bait contains the lethal active ingredient diphacionone, which is a multi-feed bait and delivers a slow but effective kill. There is no pre-baiting required as the bait is palatable on their own, containing cracked corn, corn meal and almonds.
Tools Needed
To use Wilco Ground Squirrel it is required to use a bait station for safety reasons.You should also use a long-handled scooper and gloves before adding the bait to stations.
How to Use
- Step 1: In a bait station, place 2 to 4 pounds worth of bait pellets and then place the station near active squirrel burrow openings.
- Step 2: Place multiple stations 20 to 100 feet apart depending on the density of the ground squirrel population.
- Step 3: Wait a few days and then collect and bury any dead rodents you find and then dispose of the leftover bait according to the label directions. Make sure that an uninterrupted supply of bait is always available for at least 15 days or until signs of feeding have stopped.
Where to Use
Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait is labeled to be used only to control ground squirrels and can be used 100 feet of buildings to control them. Ground squirrels, as their name implies, live on the ground, which is where you will find their burrows. Look for these burrows inside your property, close to gardens and near their primary source of food, which includes vegetables, nuts, and other beneficial plant life.
When to Use
Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait should be used when you have discovered the damage done by ground squirrels or if they have invaded your home or place of business.

Product works so well that I have gone through 16 pounds in less than 3 weeks. Those little buggers are starting to disappear everywhere.

The bait is effective. After a month of stocking 4 bait stations on my 5 acres, there is no evidence of ground squirrels on my property nor on my adjacent two neighbors properties. I’m glad I can buy this product online much cheaper than it costs at my local Ace.

Fantastic Product
I have been fighting Ground Squirrels for a long time. Tried trapping and was not that successful. I was told about this product and it is so effective. Takes a week or more and you will see a lot less squirrels and then almost none. Expensive buy super effective.

1 application & wow!
I set up 3 bait stations on an acre & half property and only one 4 lb. application. I have not seen any evidence of ground squirrels. I had an area infested by their tunneling compromising my foundation. I have since bought more and will do another application for safe measure.
