TZone SE Broadleaf Herbicide, manufactured by PBI Gordon, is a broadleaf weed herbicide that delivers exceptional post-emergent weed control in temperatures as low as 50 degrees Fahrenheit or as high as 85 degrees Fahrenheit with minimum risk.

Destroys more than 60 types of the toughest weed species with precise ratios of multiple active ingredients to provide complete cool-weather weed control. The post-emergent activity from this product ensures a quick burn-down of emerged weeds, which helps to clean up turf and non-cropland sites quickly.

TZone SE Broadleaf Herbicide flexible application timing ensures an advantage over winter weeds earlier and later in the season, helping to minimize weed populations at any point in the season. This product also provides suppression of young and actively growing weeds all the way into the cuticle without the use of a solvent.

Tools Needed

To use TZone SE Broadleaf Herbicide, you will need to use a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig.

How to Use

Spot Application on Lawn

  • Step 1: Determine how much TZone SE Broadleaf Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For cool-seasoned turf, sod farms, and non-cropland, use 1.2 -1.5 fl. oz. of TZone SE Broadleaf Herbicide in 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. or 3.25 -4 pints of product in 10-220 gallons of water per acre. For warm-seasoned turf, sod farms, and non-cropland, apply 0.75 -0.83 fl. oz. of product in 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. or 2 -2.25 pints of product in 10 -220 gallons of water per acre. The maximum application rate is 4.0 pints of product per acre per application. The maximum number of broadcast applications is limited to 2 per year.
  • Step 2: Add one-half the required amount of water to the spray tank, then add TZone SE Broadleaf Herbicide slowly with agitation, and complete filling the tank with water. Mix thoroughly and continue agitation while spraying. When this product is left standing for extended periods of time, re-agitate to assure uniformity of the spray mixture.
  • Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weeds with the mixed TZone SE Broadleaf Herbicide until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Sprayers should not be waved in a back-and-forth motion, or in a side-to-side motion, or in a swinging arm motion. Instead, the sprayer nozzle should be held stationary at the proper height. Wait until 3 hours have passed after application, before any type of irrigation can occur. Follow-up applications can only be done when 30 days have passed after the first application.

Where to Use

TZone SE Broadleaf Herbicide can be used on turf in residential/domestic sites (around areas associated with the household or home life including, but not limited to apartment complexes, condominiums, and patient care areas of nursing homes, mental institutions, hospitals, or convalescent homes), ornamental turf sites (turfgrass established around residences, parks, streets, retail outlets, cemeteries, industrial and institutional buildings, recreation areas, fairgrounds, areas adjacent to athletic fields and paved areas), institutional sites (turf areas around properties or facilities providing a service to public or private organizations including, but not limited to hospitals, nursing homes, schools, museums, libraries, sport facilities, golf courses (fairways and roughs), and office buildings), non-cropland sites (farmyards, fencerows or fence lines, highway rights-of-way (principal, interstate, county, private, and unpaved roads); roadsides, road shoulders, road embankments, dividers and medians; municipal, state and federal lands; airports and military installations), and agricultural sites (commercial sod production).

Do not apply to greens and tees established on golf courses. This product can also not be applied to St Augustinegrass, creeping bentgrass, carpetgrass, dichondra, legumes, and lawns where desirable clovers are present.

When to Use

Apply TZone SE Broadleaf Herbicide when weeds are present during conditions when temperatures are between 50 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Delay application of this product to grass seedlings until after the second or third mowing. For all other turf, delay mowing 2 days before and until 2 days after the application of this product.
