Solutions Anchored Rat Mouse Bait Station
Solutions Anchored Rat Mouse Bait Station is a durable and quick-to-open tamper-proof bait station specially designed to secure bait blocks or snap traps in a protective enclosure to allow rodents in and keep people and non-target animals out. This station features an integrated weight system where the concrete weight is incorporated directly into the station's body to keep entrances at ground level and to avoid damaging surfaces. Stations come with a key for faster service and complete protection. (1 key per 6 stations. Bait and traps sold separately.)

Generally a good itemI've had these weighted bait stations in the past so I was glad to find this one to buy. It arrived quickly. Two issues upon arrival- first, no key was sent with it. The company was wonderful and sent me one immediately after I contacted them. The next issue was that the item inside was different than the video depicted. In the video it showed vertical rods to use for bait chunks AND to set up one of the snap traps, but my station did not have vertical rods, it had some weird horizontal rods instead. Again, the company was good and sent me some of the vertical rods. Also, upon arrival there was a black plastic part which looks like it's supposed to be able to connect to something but it doesn't. It's not shown in the video or any pics of this item (even on the manufacturer site) so I suspect the piece doesn't even go with this item, that it was accidentally included when it was shipped to me. The customer service rep said she thought it was a 'bait tray' but there's no way it could function as that. Oh well. Overall the item and purchase was good and worth it. Oh, regarding 'safety' please keep in mind that poison is poison and rats carry and move stuff around. Even though they can't haul the baited station away they can still bring out bits of the poison bait. I put my weighted station in a large tray so that each morning I inspect to see if any bits of poison need to be cleaned up. I certainly wouldn't want my dogs, cats or chickens getting even a little bit of it.

Just what I neededI've done pest control professionally since 2006, and this is exactly what I wanted. Will probably buy more. :)

Just like the ones pest company usesI used a pest company for over 3 years and they used weighted bait stations that looked almost identical to these, including the lid lock w/key. Great that with the concrete weights, I don't have to stake the stations into the ground and can easily move them to other locations. And because of no staking, you also can put these in crawl spaces, attics, garages, and other house interior spaces. No reason why a homeowner can't do rat control with the right tools/equipment, and certainly a lot cheaper than a pest control company.
