Mouse Rat Control

Rats & Mice Control

Rodents like rats and mice may look cute in children’s cartoons, but when you’re dealing with them in real life, they are anything but pleasant. Rats and mice have long been the culprit of spreading some of the worst diseases and plagues in human history. Thanks to advances in sanitation and rodent control programs, the threat of disease from these rodents aren’t as devastating to the human population, but they can still be an irritating problem around the home.

Rodents like mice and rats are chronic gnawers; they need to gnaw to live and so their constant need to gnaw makes them a destructive presence if they’ve infiltrated your home. The most common domestic rodents include the house mouse, the Norway rat and the roof rat. Once they’ve entered your home, you must act fast to get rid of them or else they will multiply and create a major infestation. These rodents also have the potential to contaminate your food, gnaw at your home’s structure and possibly even ruin your electrical components of your home by chewing on wires.

Why Buy These Products

Four Steps to Successfully Treat Your Rat & Mouse Problem

Whether you have a small rodent problem or a heavy infestation of rats or mice, we recommend a simple to execute 4 step Solution:

Step One:
Sanitation/Exclusion- Make your home or business unwelcoming to rats and mice by sealing up cracks and openings, thoroughly cleaning surfaces and floors and eliminating all sources of food and water. This is also known as integrated pest management. You can use a caulking gun to seal holes and openings that these rodents can potentially crawl through. Another good tool to use is Stuff-It copper mesh which can be placed around plumbing pipes, A/C, vents, and other inconspicuous places where rodents can enter the home.

Step Two:
Rodent-Proof your home- If you've done a good job with step one, the offending rodents will not have any food available for them to feast on. They will be hungry and eager for any morsel they happen to find. By laying a rodenticide bait out as their only source of food, they will not be able to resist taking the bait. Use one of our recommended baits, such as Eratication. Apply preferably outdoors (around the entire perimeter of your home). We don’t recommend laying out bait indoors unless absolutely necessary.

Step Three:
Catch Rats and Mice with Traps- Using our recommended live traps and glueboards, you can easily lay out these traps inside your home and capture the offending rodents dead or alive. We have traps that are both lethal or non-lethal and humane, so the choice is yours how you want to trap these rodents. Once caught, you can quickly dispose of them.

Step Four:
Prevention - Once your rat or mouse problem is gone, you should still implement a sanitation routine to ensure rodents don't return to your home. Clean your kitchen regularly and sweep up crumbs. Take your trash out often and reduce clutter in your home as much as possible. Regularly inspect your indoors and outdoors for rodent activity and lay out rodent repellents to prevent rats and mice from returning to your home.
