Payload Herbicide manufactured by Valent is a bare ground herbicide for control or listed weeds in non-crop areas. Payload also offers pre-emergent and post-emergent control of selected grassy and broadleaf weeds.

Target Pests

Payload Herbicide is for the control of barnyardgrass beggarweed bittercress bluegrass burclover lovegrass carpetweed chickweed crabgrass dandelion dogfenel doveweed foxtail goosegrass henbit ivy morningglory moss pigweed signalgrass smartweed spurge and many other listed grasses and weeds.

For Use In

Payload Herbicide is for vegetation management in railroad sites parking storage areas plant sites tank farms airports brick yards industrial sites lumber yards fence rows around farm buildings and road surfaces.


To apply Payload Herbicide use 8 to 12 ounces per acre not to exceed the maximum amount of 24 ounces per acre per year.

For post-emergent control with Payload add an adjuvant to the product to get best results. To ensure uniform coverage be sure to use at least 20 to 30 gallons of water per acre.

Coverage Area

Each 12lb container of Payload will treat up to 24 acres.

Time to Kill

Payload Herbicide begins to kill target weeds 2 weeks after contact but can take up to several weeks for complete control all depending on treatment area and application.
