Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel is becoming a silver bullet for Carpenter ant control for professionals!!! Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel's new fast control formula still gives you superior long-term control of roaches compared to contact sprays. The new active ingredient, Fipronil, provides a unique mode of action that works through both ingestion and contact, knocking down roaches and ants that eat or simply touch the bait. Either way, one contaminated roach or ant kills many others where they live and breed. The Domino Effect™ still achieves ant control, but with faster visible results.

Target Pests

Carpenter Ants

For Use In

Used indoors in cracks crevices hiding places or areas where carpenter ants forage for food in homes and other structures. Place in small tight areas where foraging carpenter ants are seen or suspected (door frames behind light switch covers and electrical outlets). Commercial industrial and residential areas including food and feed areas of food and feed handling establishments

Application

Apply gel in spots in cracks and crevices. For best results, place many spots of dabs of gel where you see ants foraging and entering the structure. The gel will stay attractive to ants for up to two weeks. Inspect gel placement and reapply as needed.

Apply dabs of gel in cracks and crevices, and anywhere you see carpenter ants foraging and/or entering the structure. Can be placed in corners of cabinets and drawers, around pipes, etc. Do not place gel where insecticides have been sprayed. This will cause the gel to be unattractive to the ants. Carpenter ants are most active between 10pm-4am. It may be necessary to look for activity during these times to know where to effectively place Maxforce gel. Always read the label!

To apply, first shake the gel tube vigorously. Due to the high-moisture content, it is normal during storage for the syringe to contain a couple of grams of liquid. Simply shake the syringe before use to help even out the consistency. (During the summer months the gel may become more watery than normal, in which case you should place the tube in a refrigerator for 24 hours.)

Next, remove the cap and depress the plunger. If necessary, during the first few placements simply pull back slightly on the plunger to prevent over-application.

Small pea sized placements should be made near ant trails or near areas where ants have been observed to forage.

Usually 3 placements will be sufficient for an average sized room with a light to moderate infestation, use more for larger areas or heavy infestations. Bait will remain effective for up to two weeks.

NOTE-Do not disturb the natural behavior of trailing ants or foraging ants. Placements should be made NEAR the ants not on them or in the middle of the trail. By disrupting their normal behavior, bait avoidance may occur.

Coverage Area

27 gram tube yields 27 spots of bait.

Maxforce Carpenter Ant Gel

MaxForce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel Is Your Solution To Get Rid of Carpenter Ants!

Solutions Pest & Lawn carries a great method of controlling your carpenter problem and that is through MaxForce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel. One thing that carpenter ants love is moisture and Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel has high moisture content which carpenter ants will not be able to resist. Using MaxForce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel will provide lightning fast control usually within 3-5 days.

As with most new bait technology Maxforce gel uses a delayed action kill so the bait will have ample time to be taken by the worker ants and brought back to the nest to be passed throughout the carpenter ant colony. Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel contains sugar as another attractant for the sugar-loving carpenter ants and works even better when used in tandem to a protein-based control bait such as Advance Carpenter Ant Bait.

How to Apply MaxForce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel

MaxForce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel is simple to apply, making it perfect for DIYers that would rather not hire a professional to handle their pest problems. Solutions recommends a four phase method to remove carpenter ants which includes: Identification, Inspection, Control and Prevention. You can find a more detailed how to which covers these phases here at our ant control guide but we will give you a quick rundown of the control method here below:

  1. Identification: You need to be certain that the ants you are dealing with are indeed carpenter ants. The biggest signs are their appearance and larger size as well as their affinity for wood and leaving shavings around. This step is simple at this point since if you’re reading this and bought the MaxForce Gel, it’s apparent you are dealing with carpenter ants.

  2. Inspection: Examine your home and observe any carpenter ants you may have encountered and follow them where they may lead you to their nest. Also be sure to check areas of your home that are tucked away like your attic or basement and around your foundation since carpenter ants like hidden dark and quiet places that have moisture. Often times they’ll be hard to find their nest but at least getting an idea of where you have encountered them can give you an idea of where to place MaxForce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel.

  3. Control: Apply small beads of gel in cracks and crevices, and anywhere you see carpenter ants foraging and/or entering the structure. Maxforce Carpenter ant gel can be placed in cabinets and drawers, around pipes, electrical outlets, light switches, etc. Also be sure that if you’re using an ant insecticide or spray that you do not place bait in those same areas as it will render the bait ineffective as carpenter ants will not go near the bait wherever insecticide has been sprayed.

  4. Prevention: At this point the MaxForce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel will have done the trick, significantly reducing your carpenter ant issue if not entirely. To make sure you don’t have a problem start up again you need to take preventative measures. The best way of going about this is by eliminating sources of moisture in and around your home, sealing cracks and crevices around your foundation to shut down areas of entry, and keeping wood materials away from your home. Cutting back bushes and branches will also does well to eliminate sources of entry to your home.

Simple enough, isn’t it? By carrying out these steps, you will save a ton of money by not needing to hire a professional pest control expert and carpenter ants will be a thing of the past.

Worked perfectly for my carpenter ant, I also purchased the Advance 375 A Bait, to use a the same time, can you tell me if I can put them out together?
Bob W on Sep 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Bob, we will usually recommend the Maxforce Carpenter Ant and then the Advance Carpenter Ant Bait, when you first start application treatment for carpenter ants, you can then determine what food source they are foraging on and this will help you be successful with carpenter ant baiting.

Once you determine which product the carpenter ants are picking up, you will continue to apply that one product until you stop seeing them foraging.

Do not worry the about wasting the bait, it will still be good for a couple of years and most people have a carpenter ant issue a couple times a year, every year.
I noticed this product hardened after a day once I applied it. Is it still effective once it hardens?
Erin M on Jul 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We noticed that too. It seemed to still be effective. We put product on pieces of foil & just put a bit more out after we noticed that after about a day. . Product worked so well for us.
Is it safe if we have indoor cats?
A shopper on May 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You will not want to place in areas where the cats will be able to access the Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel. You can place small amounts in the trails and forage areas of the actual ants in the early morning or early evening and then take the left over bat up to reduce the risk of the cats coming in contact with the bait.
What is the difference between: Maxforce FC Ant Bait Gel and Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel?
carrie on Apr 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel is a Honey Dew formulation meant to attract carpenter ants that have been foraging on that particular food source. It is a very attractive food source for them. Should be used in conjunction with Advance Carpenter Ant Bait Gel. https://www.solutionsstores.com/advance-carpenter-ant-bait
I read that it's recommended to chill this gel in the fridge 24 hours before use. Is that really necessary? If so, why?
Hunter on Apr 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Because Maxforce carpenter ant gel bait is a honeydew and during transit can get warm, placing it in the refrigerator will help firm it up a bit, before application.
Can this be placed in an area where kids will be at? Will it cause any harm to them being in the same room?
Nikki on Nov 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Maxforce Carpenter Ant bait should be used in areas where small children would not be exposed to the product. Perfect to use Maxforce Carpenter Ant Gel Bait in small amounts, where you are seeing the carpenter ants foraging, usually is completely picked up at the time of application.

If concerned you can apply a non repellent insecticide aerosol, such as fipro, or Phantom aerosol.

I read somewhere that it is advisable to purchase both these, Maxforce and Advance Carpenter Ant togther, is this true?
BEST ANSWER: Yes I would recommend buying both the Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait and then also the Advance Carpenter Ant Bait, to make sure you offer the carpenter ants both food choices to see what they are feeding on at the time.
How long is Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel effective?
Sabin on Oct 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait will last and stay palatable to the carpenter ants. You should apply small amounts of lille drops or beads, out for carpenter ants in the early evening or early morning.

Will Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait work for regular ants?
Rachel on Oct 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait provides FAST CONTROL of ants in 3-5 days. Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel is formulated to effectively control ants. Thats because this product contains Fipronil, a fast-acting active ingredient. Its speed is still slow enough, however, for foraging ants to return to the colony and feed the bait to larvae and queen(s) so that the entire colony is killed through the Domino Effect. Maxforce Carpenter Ant Gel will work for ants that are attracted to Honey Dew Formulation.

Works well
This product worked as stated. I put it up by my hummingbird feeder and after 2-3 days, there were no ants. The colony must be gone as there are still none visible.

Carpenter ants were gone after 2 applications
I applied this minimally in our back room (at 3 corners and near an outlet where I had seen ants enter) for 2 evenings in a row. We had seen at least 20 ants a day for the past 7-10 days. They seemed to like how it tasted, and it's been two weeks since I applied the gel and have not seen an ant since! Added bonus, it was easy to clean up.

Time will tell.
Got it last year, just started using it today (2/14/2018). The ants are becoming more active, as it's getting a little warmer here in central Wisconsin.

They are eating the Maxforce and I'll get back to you at a later date to tell you of it's effectiveness. Hope it does the job.

P.S. What can you tell me about Bald Faced wasp's. Last fall they killed off my son's two bee hives. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Thank's for your help,
Don Lang

Ants gone
Purchased Maxforce carpenter ant, placed some at the source of the ants, placed more when they devoured the Maxforce and so on. Pretty much had enough ants poisoned the first night to solve the problem. Kept the Maxforce available for a week. Now....Ants gone.

Poof! Carpenter Ants are gone!
This stuff worked better than I had anticipated. I had those blasted carpenter ants entering from one corner of my home. When I got the gel in the mail, I simply squeezed out several spots of the gel outside about the size of a nickel where they were coming in and they began piling up on it by the hundreds it seemed. The next morning, I checked and all the bait was gone! Two weeks since and I have not found a single ant in sight. This gel took care of the problem, I kid you not, in one application. This is some high-quality stuff. I'll definitely use again if I need to. Thanks, Solutions!
