Mouse control, an annual winter challenge

Camille Landry posted this on Aug 3, 2016

At this time of year, many people find themselves dealing with some unwanted guests in the form of mice (in addition to various other pests). This is especially problematic in colder areas, where mice seek shelter to hide out from the winter weather and frigid temperatures.

While it helps to try and solidify your home’s perimeter by sealing up any gaps or holes and blocking off any other potential entrance points, that may not completely solve the problem.

Mice are notorious for their ability to squeeze into incredibly tiny spaces, so it can be nearly impossible to eliminate every single crack or tiny hole that may provide a small mouse with enough of an entryway. Plus, a mouse with a chill who is eager to find a cozy hideaway can be very determined when it comes to finding a way into your home.

That’s why you will likely need some sort of mouse control strategy to handle those mice who do manage to get inside of your house. Exactly what type of approach you choose will depend on the scope of your mouse problem and your own preferences. Some people like the hands-off approach of a bait product, while others would rather use a trap so as to avoid the risk of mice dying in the walls or some other hidden location.

Whatever route you choose, Solutions has a wide variety of mouse control products that can help keep your home free of these pests for the winter.
