MEALYBUGS ON HOUSE PLANTS

Camille Landry posted this on Aug 2, 2016

QUESTION:

I have a few larger indoor plants that seen to have a white sticky web-like bug infesting them, on the underleaf or tunnels of the leaves of my plants. I was wondering if this product would do the trick & get rid of them without hurting the plant or if you could recommend something that would be more effective? Thanks so much Jennifer

ANSWER:

It really sounds like mealybugs, you can use merit which is a systemic and will be taken into the plants system and prevent the insects from being able to survive.  But if it is only one plant the merit bottle would be alot and will last you a very long time.  You can use also Bifen, demand, cyonara, for use directly on the foliage.
