Ants are not only annoying and unsanitary, but they can also be destructive (such as in the case of carpenter ants). So it’s important to keep these pests away from your home.

With ants, continuous protection is key. You may think you’ve won the battle because you don’t see any ants crawling on your floor or counter, but they may simply be hiding out in less visible areas. Because ants can be so hardy and persistent, you need to stay on top of the problem.

While sprays can help, they generally only kill on contact (or when an ant touches a treated surface). To really eliminate the infestation, you must eradicate the colony.

Ant bait lets you destroy the colony from afar

Ant bait works by attracting ants, who then take the insecticide-treated bait back to the colony, where it is shared among a large number of ants—including the queen. This lets you kill the ant problem at its source. The ants are either destroyed right away or are prevented from breeding. Either way, your ant problem can quickly disappear.

With any bait, you can wipe out the colony, even if you have no idea where it is. It works behind the scenes, but you will get noticeable results.
