However, before we can help you get rid of the flies present in your home you will have to understand the world of flies. This is exactly why we have mentioned a little information about flies below:

About flies

Flies are one of the most advanced mechanosensory organisms out there. They’re physically capable of performing aerodynamic movements, which is exactly why they are so hard to trap. Every fly has a mobile head and compound eyes, which provides them with 360 vision of the entire area. Each fly has their wings positioned in a manner which allows them to perform surreal aerodynamic movements and to make matters worse their reflexes are simply on point. As mentioned above, flies lay eggs on open larval food sources, they are also considered to be one of the most effective pollinators out there! However, even though their reflexes and rapid movements may seem intimidating, we will help you get rid of these flies for good.

How to get rid of flies indoors for good

Given below are different tested methods which will help everyone out there get rid flies indoors permanently.

  1. Invest in a fly repellant

Fly repellants are one of the most widely used countermeasures in the world as they are very effective with these winged insects. You can easily purchase a fly repellant from your local convenient store or simply visit any pesticide store in your area to get a hold of a repellant. We would recommend investing at least two different repellants in order to make sure that there are no survivors! Once you are equipped with the repellant simply close all of the ventilation sources in your home or offices and approach the infestation. Now start spraying like your life depended on it and keep spraying until every fly is dead. Crush them with your shoes for good measure!  Please keep in mind that most repellants are not designed to kill fly eggs so please consider investing in a product that also kills fly eggs.

There are also fly control insecticide sprays that can be effective like Pyrid Aerosol or MaxForce Fly Spot Bait. For flies that are discovered hanging around your sink drains, Drain Gel cleaner can wipe up the gunk and organic matter that flies are attracted to.

  1. Invest in fly traps

Another effective way to kill flies is via traps, these traps are readily available in any pesticide store and is perfect if you are too lazy to hunt each fly down. There are many different types of fly types in the market, some of them are for indoor purposes while others are supposed to use outdoors. Please make sure you read the label carefully before you purchase a product and we would recommend using the internet to find the most effective trap. Each trap is designed for different levels of infestations so please take the level of your infestation into consideration.  We have traps that work really well such as Musca-StikQuickstrike Fly Abatement StripsFlies Be Gone, and even light traps like the Mantis Fly Light. What you choose depends upon your preference.

However, every one of these traps is extremely effective in trapping flies and they will remain your prisoners until you see fit.  Once you have found the right trap, simply place it right next to the infestation. Some traps may require a sweet bait, so you can grab anything from the fridge to trap these insects from hell. Leave the area for awhile and when you return you should have multiple flies as your prisoners, conduct a quick inmate count to make sure that the trap has caught all of the flies in the area. How you take care of your prisoners is totally up to you, but we would recommend drowning the flies but that’s just us.
