(C) Gen 1.3/3 - Remote Receiver
(C) Gen 1.3/3 - Remote Receiver
The MistAway Remote Receiver, manufactured by Mistaway, is a important part of a MistAway Automatic Mosquito Misting System because it allows the remote control to send signals to the misting unit so it can perform the functions selected.
The primary cause of failure in the remote receiver is water entering the connection with the CAT 5 cable.
This replacement receiver is made for the Gen 1.3/3/1.2/2 versions of MistAway mosquito misting systems. Replacing the remote receiver is easy to do and will get your misting system back to performing like it should.
Tools Needed
To install the Remote Receiver all you will need is a Phillips screwdriver.
How to Use
- Step 1: Before installing, please first disconnect the power to the unit.
- Step 2: Using the screwdriver, remove the controller and reposition the plastic cover to gain access to the inside of the unit.
- Step 3: Disconnect the CAT 5 cable and remove the remote receiver using the Phillips screwdriver and replace with the new receiver.
- Step 4: Conduct a test to orient the remote transmitter to the new receiver and if it is working properly, reassemble the unit.
Where to Use
The remote receiver is located inside the unit under the controller and plastic cover. It is secured to the chassis.
When to Use
Relace the Remote Receiver on your MistAway system when the system is not picking up signals from your remote transmitter and is faulty, possibly due to water damage.
Safety Information
The remote receiver safe and easy to install when installed according to MistAway's directions.
Special Considerations
When replacing the remote receiver, we advise also replacing the receiver cable and antenna.

Q:The Remote for my Mist Away GEN three system suddenly stopped working after severe thunderstorms in my area. The command received button on the remote does not illuminate on either of the two remotes that worked previous. I am able to mist the system through the central panel and the programmed misting cycles worked. I assume that I need anew remote receiver but wanted any ideas? I have changed the batteries, made sure the system is on auto, that the must cycle is correct and , as I said, the system will mist from the central panel and when in The “INS” mode. Thanks5/18/21
