Solutions Anchored Rat Bait Station

Anchor Rat Bait Station

The Anchor Rat Bait Station has proven itself to be the most effective bait station on the market today. Rats love it until they are killed. The bad news for rats is that the best just got a whole lot better and secure. You will come to appreciate the Anchor Rat Bait Station for its fast servicing abilities, long lasting hinges and enticing see-through design for rodents.

Now your favorite bait station comes with a concrete anchor option. The Anchor Bait stations provides a more secure footprint for a variety of indoor and outdoor environments. The anchor adds a new level of security and functionality. No need trying to mess around trying to install the 12 and a half pound building grade concrete block, it comes pre-assembled and ready for action out of the box.

One of the key advantages of the Anchor is just that, the key! The bait station allows for quick and easy access thanks to its patented key entry system. A simple quarter turn of the key is all it takes to open the bait station for full access. With the lid opening away from the wall, the station is easier to service. Just a few turn of the wing nuts and they alon with the washer are off.

Removing the anchor revealed two bolts embedded in the concrete block. Trust us, these bolts aren't going anywhere. They provide the most reliable method to secure the bait station. Strengthening fibers woven throughout the concrete give the base added durability to withstand the rigors of a tough environment and molded to an exact fit the concrete base matches the bait station footprint to a clean professional look. To close, press on the locking mechanism and its fully locked and secure.

While rainwater and moisture can pose a problem to other bait station, it is not an issue with the Anchor Rat Bait Station. Four precision cut holes allows water to drain out of the bait station, keeping the bait dry. The four holes, two located at the front corners and two inside the bait chamber, allow for quick drainage. Rodents love dining in a nice dry place and an Anchor Bait Station is happy to oblige.

The flat sheet design of the Anchor does not allow for any rat harborage and keeps the path into the bait station free and clear. Like the RP, the Anchor can be flipped up on its side and placed flush against the wall in areas prone to flooding. This keeps bait dry. Manufactured to the industry highest standard, the Anchor Rat Bait Station can be quickly deployed right out of the box to save time. The Anchor Rat Bait Station is built to last and simply the best.

Is the openin large enough for a rat??
Marilyn S on Jul 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. That’s why it’s called a rat bait station. Maybe not one of those enormous Norway rats that attack people, but all normal rats yes.
Is there a minimum number of bait stations recommended? How do you know how many bait stations you'll need?
Jeff W on Jun 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is not really a minimum, you will want to think about this from a rats point of view. They like to move around in areas that will give them some coverage. So this could be side of a home or garage that does not have a lot of activity.

Areas that have high shrubs and harborage areas are another place to think about placing.

Best coverage would be to have one placed on all sides of the structures, but at the least in the areas listed above.

This should give you good coverage for rat control.
Do squirrels get in these traps?
A shopper on May 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I am very satisfied with the purchase of these Aegis Anchor rat bait stations. No, squirrels do not get into these traps, however, snails get in these traps and making these traps their homes.
Do the rats die inside the trap or do they eat bait and go off and die?
Rhonda B on Sep 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They eat the bait and go off and die. Baits are slow killing so they'll wander and go about their activities until they succumb to the poison.

A shopper on Jun 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The Aegis station will not arrive pre-baited and the bait must be purchased separately. The bait will stay good for several years. When storing keep the bait in a cool dry location. A weekly or bi-weekly inspection is recommended to determine if the stations need to be refilled.

Generally a good item
I've had these weighted bait stations in the past so I was glad to find this one to buy. It arrived quickly. Two issues upon arrival- first, no key was sent with it. The company was wonderful and sent me one immediately after I contacted them. The next issue was that the item inside was different than the video depicted. In the video it showed vertical rods to use for bait chunks AND to set up one of the snap traps, but my station did not have vertical rods, it had some weird horizontal rods instead. Again, the company was good and sent me some of the vertical rods. Also, upon arrival there was a black plastic part which looks like it's supposed to be able to connect to something but it doesn't. It's not shown in the video or any pics of this item (even on the manufacturer site) so I suspect the piece doesn't even go with this item, that it was accidentally included when it was shipped to me. The customer service rep said she thought it was a 'bait tray' but there's no way it could function as that. Oh well. Overall the item and purchase was good and worth it. Oh, regarding 'safety' please keep in mind that poison is poison and rats carry and move stuff around. Even though they can't haul the baited station away they can still bring out bits of the poison bait. I put my weighted station in a large tray so that each morning I inspect to see if any bits of poison need to be cleaned up. I certainly wouldn't want my dogs, cats or chickens getting even a little bit of it.

Just like the ones pest company uses
I used a pest company for over 3 years and they used weighted bait stations that looked almost identical to these, including the lid lock w/key. Great that with the concrete weights, I don't have to stake the stations into the ground and can easily move them to other locations. And because of no staking, you also can put these in crawl spaces, attics, garages, and other house interior spaces. No reason why a homeowner can't do rat control with the right tools/equipment, and certainly a lot cheaper than a pest control company.
