Active Ingredient:
Triclopyr BEE 61.6%
(oxyacetic acid, butoxyethyl ester)
Target weeds:
Triclopyr 4EC is used to control woody plants, brush and annual and perennial broadleaf weeds.
For use in:
Use Triclopyr 4EC in forests, pastures, rangelands, right of ways, lawns, ornamental turf sites, golf courses, sod farms, fence rows, industrial properties, and non irrigation ditches.
Application:
For regular applications Triclopyr 4EC should be applied at a rate of 64oz per acre.
Mix 3.2oz of Triclopyr per gallon of water for spot treatments. 1 gallon of solution will treat 1,000 square feet for broadleaf weeds.
For woody plants and brush mix 6.4oz of Triclopyr per gallon of water.
For basal treatments of stubborn trees and brush mix 1 gallon of triclopyr with 1 gallon of oil. Apply directly to the bark of the tree to thoroughly wet the surface. Drilling into the tree and pouring the mixture in will speed the process.
For stump treatments to prevent resprouting spray oil and triclopyr mixture over the exposed wood.
Do not apply Triclopyr 4EC to exposed roots of desirable trees and shrubs. Do not apply to newly seeded grasses.
Coverage Area:
Each gallon of Triclopyr 4EC will treat up to 2 acres of land for broadleaf weeds and woody plants.
Not for sale to:
Shelf Life:
Triclopyr 4EC has a shelf life of 1 to 2 years when stored in a cool dry environment.
Time to Kill:
Triclopyr will take multiple treatments to control woody plants and brush. Broadleaf weeds will die in 1 to 3 weeks depending on growth stage.

wild violets
February 19, 2012
Reviewer: Anne from Atlanta
I'm using triclopyr to kill wild violets that are taking over my lawn. They said multiple applications may be necessary. The violets are starting to wilt but not die. Will contunue to apply and see what happens.
